Yes, well summer came and fall is upon the more northern of our members.
Here's hoping that you were able to continue to get out and enjoy such an inspiring car!

I'm still hoping for a least one or two more weekends. We were in Smokehole, WV last weekend and the leaves were just about at peak. However, it was raining so I took the truck instead of the car and just rented a cabin and trout fished for the weekend. The roads down there are unbelievable - especially one called Smokehole Road and another steep, twisting, winding mountain road out of Parsons, WV, Rt 72 (Dry Fork Road). It's even worth a Google Earth tour. Check out the map view from high up, then take a "drive" via the Earth view:

I was hoping to get a video of those two roads this weekend, but it looks like rain is forecast once again. I may just damn the weatherman and go, since they're often wrong and occasional rain won't hurt anything. It's been so windy lately that by next weekend the leaves will probably all be gone (arg).
Plus, in Petersburg, WV there's a Sunoco station that sells racing fuel. I like to add about 5 gallons of that and then I can advance the timing a bit for even better performance and no chance of knocks when accelerating up the big mountains. Damn, I'm jonesin just talkin' about it. I think I'll change the oil tonight and check the brakes.

Thanks! I can't recall offhand, I'll write down the specs when I go out to the garage tonight and post later.

No Mustang ever built was cooler then the 1969 MACH1. Yours is a fine example of that coolness. I had a friend with a 69 in that color. Unfortunately he wrapped it around a utility pole and ended a short life. Every time I see a 69 in that color I'm reminded of him. RIP Pete. Sorry to digress. You have a very beautiful car.
