Great car, very nice looking, Did you restore it? You live too far away from America, is it hard to find parts?.

Cheers!

Hi
Thanks all for great comments.
I bought the car for about 2 months ago, It was shipped from California to sweden in 2011. It was a cardealer in Sweden who imported it. Then he dident had the time and sold to guy who drove 1000 km in like 3 years. It was restord in the US, but there are many things that I noticed know that wasnt restord good. So Im trying to fix a lot of issues.
My plan is to get it running well for this summer , and restore and uppgrade the Engine to about 350-400 hp , then of course change electrical wiring and other stuff.
Its a real headturner here , most of the Muscle cars are Corvettes, Camaros and so on. So Its cool to have some else.
The basic parts, like gaskets, wires etc can be bought in store. But If you want the other stuff you have to order it online from US. The used market for parts is very small, but for Chevrolet parts they basiclly throw them after you. If you find like Engine head/valves etc they are expensive even the used ones.

Excellent Rob, seems that you are going to have a lot of fun, It will pay for so many heads turning while driving.
If i can help let me know, I am not an expert but I am in the same restore work.
I am restoring my 1971 Mach 1, now I am in electric wiring correction and restore, I attached a picture of 2 weeks ego, now I have almost every thing connected and ready for next weekend to test it, I relocated all wires at motor bay and changed all lights wiring, also made a relay assembly to run lights, electric pump, 2 electric cooling fans, electric choke and also I ran the signal for voltage regulator. Maybe too many but is already done. Changed the Turn Signal Cam, reconnected all dimmed lights, changed fuel sending unit, tank and gaskets, voltage regulator for fuel sending unit and gauges circuit (hopefully it will work).
All that done by my self, I verify the wiring with originals drawings and many things was disconnected or wrong connected, I made my own diagrams.
After electrical circuit restoration, front suspension and breaks is coming.

Looks great Masol :-)

The wire harness is that a custom one or do you use a universal one or painfree or what its called. Are you keeping original gauges ?

Previous owner changed original for universal fuse wiring, also changed turn signal assembly 1971 for 1973, unfortunately done by not so skilled personnel and ended up with a mess, I am changing wrong size cables and reconnecting to right points.
For example, good idea wrong implementation, they installed relays for high and low beams, connected left high and right low and vice-versa, also run ground with #22 (0.34 mm2) gauge, I used a 4x12 AWG (4x4 mm2) for head lamps and #16 (1.5 mm2) for relay control.
I am installing switches for dash lights, TEMP, OIL and ALT reconnected, reassigning fuses, connecting illumination lamps and so on, some body told me "you need a lot of patience" and indeed, also it takes time.
I do not know technicians in Sweden buy here they use more isolating tape than an Egyptian mummy.
While correcting I am painting dash, so when I finish it will be working and good looking.
Dash was installed with minimum screws, I found the speed nuts (clip type) for assembly and avoid vibration and noise.

Well a lot of fun has you can see.

I know what you mean about jobs not well done on the car. Ive found cut wires and loose vacum hoses tec, under the dash. Ive replaced all the bulbs to led and refitted with new screws and clips, a lot of them were missing to. The starter was fixed with onlky one bolt for examle, the spraypainted the engine compartment and they dident remove the cables. Everything got black and stuck, Ive changed alternator cables, starter solenoid and otherstuff where the connections in the cables were realy bad. Im planning on putting in a new harness, but it will be later when giving the car a new paint job, inside and outside. All the interior is sprayed black from spraycan and not well done. I probably end up changing a lot of plastic parts. The windshield in the front was not glued properly so when driving on the freeway air was leaking in...Ive fixed that with special glasstuff kind like silicon.
