My Mach 1973 the smog version...

Great job, seems that electric stuff will be running good.
I preferred not use an harness and I changed cables, because some wiring in my car were not standard or not like factory, so instead of finding a harness ($) and modify it, I ran cables (cheaper) and electrically correct size.
My car comes from painting and now I am working inside, painting was not done by me so I preferred do it before electric work, here paint shop workers have a lot of "initiative" and they disconnect, paint, remove marks and so on.
Next weekend I will try to install oil pressure switches (OIL light, electric fuel pump protection and gauge indication) after that, wiring testing, If I have time I will open instrument cluster to clean and restore, I will change the bezel, circuit and Voltage regulator, I am thinking in returning odometer to zero.

Cheers

The idea of running Cables and switch them out for new ones is actually a good idea. After a whle you have biult your own harness.
What meters are you gonna put in ?

I bought oil pressure, water temperature and tachometer in 2 in diameter, on ebay from China, sent home for almost 16 USD each.

New meters comes with senders, only need a wire to connect them.

I am not sure if there are a standard, since previous owner installed of the shelf meters I do not know, I am using 52 mm diameter dials and will figure out how to install them.

Last weekend I restored instrument cluster.

Nice work Masol. I noticed National Parts Depot has a tachometer to fit factory non-tach instrument panels. Here is the link. https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/t...003-1.html
It apparently has modern electronics inside to work with stock points or modern aftermarket or stock electronic ignition systems. Plus it retains the warning lights like yours already has.

Just thought I'd through this out there for you.

Best Regards,
Mike

Great work !

That tachometer could be something for me to, if I dont switch the entire meters of course.
